What this covers

Quick walkthrough

A clean decision record needs more than a product name. It also needs the why, the concerns, and the follow-up.

  1. Open the decision you want to document.
  2. Use the main decision notes area for durable context such as finish direction, installer concerns, or homeowner preferences.
  3. Use the discussion or feed area to post follow-up comments tied to that decision.
  4. Review note history when you need to see what changed over time.

Good to know

Important details

  • Decision notes stay closer to the selection itself than project-wide feed chatter.
  • Short factual notes usually age better than vague comments like looks better now.
