How to Create a New Project

Create a project from the home screen, choose your role, pick rooms, and seed the first set of decisions.

Quick walkthrough

Projects are the top-level workspace in BuildSelections. Decisions, files, team members, budget, and final selections all live inside a project.

From the home screen, click New project.
Enter a project name. The property address is optional, but it helps when you have multiple jobs.
Choose your role on this project: Homeowner, Contractor, or Designer.
Select the rooms you want to start with, then choose the decision points for each room.
Create the project. BuildSelections will seed your pending decisions from the scope you picked.

Good to know

If you are on Starter, the room selector enforces the room limit for your plan.
You can still add rooms later, so the first project setup does not have to include everything on day one.
