How to Choose Rooms When Starting a Project

The room step is more than naming spaces. It also controls which decision templates BuildSelections creates for you.

1. In the New project flow, go to the Select Rooms step.
2. Tap any built-in room such as Kitchen, Bathroom, or Living Room to add it.
3. If you need a space that is not built in, use + Add new room... and type the room name.
4. For each selected room, choose the decision points you want seeded, such as Flooring, Lighting, or Countertops.
5. Finish the project setup to create those pending decisions automatically.

Good to know

Important details

• If you choose the same template twice, BuildSelections will create the next available room name instead of overwriting the first one.
• Spending a minute on scope here usually saves time later because your team starts with a cleaner decisions list.
